Fair Go weekly promotions in NZ time don't always line up with the days on your phone. Koala Monday, Fun Monday, VIP Thursday, the Fair Draw and the weekend cashback are all tied to days of the week, yet Fair Go doesn't say which time zone those days follow. If it's Australian eastern time, as seems likely, a Fair Go “Monday” starts in the small hours of Monday in New Zealand and runs into Tuesday morning. The promotions below are as Fair Go listed them on 9 October 2026; the time-zone facts are general ones, not Fair Go's.

Fair Go's promo week

On top of these, the standard 25% cashback is available on any day for deposits made without a bonus, claimed through support, and the game-of-the-month code changes monthly. Our Fair Go bonus guide covers the welcome package and the wagering behind every code.

Which clock does Fair Go use?

We couldn't find a time zone on Fair Go's promotions page or in its terms. So this is an informed guess, not a fact: Australian eastern time is the likely reference. Fair Go is Australian-themed, its promotions are written for Australian players, and its terms quote limits such as the $7,500 weekly withdrawal cap in Australian dollars. But it could also use server time, UTC, or even your own local time for some offers. Until Fair Go confirms it, treat every NZ time on this page as an estimate.

Fair Go also says its support runs 24/7 live chat and email, which is its own claim. That's the quickest way to get a definite answer, and we explain what to ask below.

NZ and Australian eastern time: the offsets

These are general time-zone facts, not Fair Go information. New Zealand and the south-eastern Australian states both use daylight saving, but they change on different Sundays in spring. Queensland, including Brisbane, stays on AEST all year.

How far New Zealand is ahead of Australian eastern time (offsets from UTC)
PeriodNZSydneyAhead of SydneyAhead of Brisbane
Early Apr to late SepNZST +12AEST +102h2h
Late Sep to early OctNZDT +13AEST +103h3h
Early Oct to early AprNZDT +13AEDT +112h3h

“Sydney” here also stands for Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart. New Zealand moves its clocks on the last Sunday in September and the first Sunday in April; New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania on the first Sunday in October and the first Sunday in April. For this season, New Zealand's daylight saving began on 27 September 2026 and New South Wales followed on 4 October 2026, so the gap was three hours for that one week. Both end on 4 April 2027. Next spring, New Zealand changes on 26 September 2027 and New South Wales on 3 October 2027. On the Chatham Islands, add another 45 minutes to every New Zealand time on this page.

If Fair Go turns out to use Brisbane time instead, use the +3h column for the whole New Zealand summer, from late September to early April. Fun Monday's free spins arrive on Monday, Fair Go says, but it doesn't give a time of day, so don't expect them the moment the NZ Monday begins.

Edges to watch

  • Sunday night into Monday. At 1:30am Monday in Auckland it's still 11:30pm Sunday in Sydney. On Sydney time, Koala Monday hasn't started yet, but the weekend cashback is still running.
  • The Fair Draw cut-off. The week runs Friday to Thursday, and Fair Go's Fair Draw page says entry needs $500 or more in deposits each week. A deposit at 1:00am on Friday morning in New Zealand may still count towards the previous week's total on Sydney time. As for the draw itself: Drawn every Friday; winning bonus code sent by email. Don't top up a deposit just to reach the entry level.
  • VIP Thursday. Bonuses land in the casino inbox of VIP players on Thursday. If yours isn't there first thing Thursday morning in New Zealand, it may simply be too early on Fair Go's clock.
  • The spring week. For about seven days from New Zealand's change in late September, every window shifts an hour later on your clock.
  • Withdrawal timing. Fair Go processes withdrawals within 2 business days. If those are Australian business days, a request made late on a Friday in New Zealand may wait until Monday there. Our withdrawals guide has more.

Monthly codes and the change of month

The game-of-the-month code when we checked was GOTM1026 for Horseman's Prize (game of the month): Double comp points; redeem for 150% + 50 free spins, minimum deposit $45. Its suffix suggests October 2026, so expect a new code each month. On Sydney time, a new month begins at 2:00am on the 1st in New Zealand for most of the year. If you're redeeming a monthly code late on the last night of a month, do it before midnight NZ time to be safe, or check with live chat first.

How to confirm with Fair Go

Open live chat and ask one clear question: “Which time zone do your promotion days, the Fair Draw week and your business days use?” Ask for the answer in writing, save the transcript, and note the date you asked, because policies can change. Our Fair Go support guide explains how to get a useful answer quickly.

A promo calendar is meant to add fun, not pressure. If you notice you're depositing because a deal is about to expire rather than because you planned to play, that's worth pausing on. Our responsible gambling page has tips for keeping it in check, and on a phone the mobile guide shows how to set a session timer.

Fair Go weekly promotions in NZ time: questions

What time does Koala Monday start in New Zealand?

Fair Go doesn't state its time zone. If it uses Sydney time, Koala Monday starts at 2:00am Monday NZ time for most of the year, and at 3:00am during the week or so each spring when only New Zealand is on daylight saving. Confirm with live chat.

What time zone does Fair Go use for its promotions?

It doesn't say on the pages we checked. Australian eastern time is the likely reference, given Fair Go's Australian focus and its limits quoted in Australian dollars, but that's our inference, not Fair Go's statement.

How many hours ahead of Sydney is New Zealand?

Usually two hours: NZST (UTC+12) against AEST (UTC+10) in winter, and NZDT (UTC+13) against AEDT (UTC+11) in summer. For about a week from the last Sunday in September, it's three hours, because New Zealand starts daylight saving a week before New South Wales. Brisbane doesn't use daylight saving, so it's three hours behind New Zealand all summer.

Does daylight saving change Fair Go's promo times for Kiwis?

Only briefly, if Fair Go uses Sydney time. Both countries move their clocks, so the two-hour gap holds for most of the year. The exception is the week between New Zealand's change on the last Sunday in September and Australia's on the first Sunday in October.

When does the Fair Draw week end in NZ time?

Fair Go runs the Fair Draw from Friday to Thursday. On Sydney time, that week ends at 11:59pm Thursday in Sydney, which is 1:59am Friday in New Zealand for most of the year.
