Most online pokies NZ players come across are made by a handful of big studios and look much the same from casino to casino. Fair Go is different: its lobby is built around one provider, Spin Logic, plus a Fair Go exclusive starring its koala mascot. Fair Go claims 280+ pokies and an average return to player of about 97%. Both are Fair Go's claims; below is what it actually publishes, title by title.
Inside the Fair Go pokies lobby
Tap any tile to open Fair Go and play. These are the titles Fair Go shows with its own artwork.
Kev's Bush Bonanza is the one to know. Fair Go lists it as an exclusive with an Aussie outback theme, and it's the game the house promotes hardest. Elsewhere you'll find Asian-themed pokies such as Fortunate Buddha and Fu Long Treasures, heists in Cash Bandits 3, and a steady flow of new releases that usually arrive with a launch code.

RTP and volatility in plain English
Return to player (RTP) is the share of all money bet on a game that it pays back over a very long run. Fair Go's average of about 97% means, across millions of spins on many machines, roughly 97 cents in every dollar wagered comes back as wins. It doesn't mean you'll get 97 cents back in a night. Short sessions swing wildly in both directions, and the house keeps its edge on average.
Volatility describes how a pokie pays. Low-volatility games pay small amounts often; high-volatility games go quiet for longer and save their value for bigger features. Fair Go only states volatility for a few titles: Kev's Bush Bonanza is listed as medium, Devil's Jackpot as high and Dr. Winmore as low. With a small budget, lower volatility usually gives you more playing time; with a high-volatility game, expect longer dry spells.
Progressive jackpots and Lobby Jackpots
A progressive jackpot grows with play until someone wins it. In Fair Go's published specs, Cash Bandits 3 and Aztec's Millions carry progressives, Plentiful Treasure lists eight, and Achilles Deluxe has Minor and Major jackpots. Separately, Lobby Jackpots is an opt-in side bet that costs Opt-in side jackpot at $0.01 per spin. It's small per spin but adds up over a long session, so switch it on deliberately rather than by habit. We don't show jackpot amounts, because they change constantly and we can't verify them.
Beyond pokies: tables, video poker and specialty games
Fair Go's games page also lists digital table games: blackjack (Classic Blackjack, European Blackjack, Face Up 21, Pontoon, Perfect Pairs side bet and Suit 'Em Up side bet), poker games (Caribbean Stud Poker, Caribbean Hold'em, Pai Gow Poker and Tri Card Poker) and Baccarat, Vegas Three Card Rummy, American Roulette, European Roulette and Craps. Video poker covers Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, Double Double Bonus Poker, Aces and Eights and Bonus Poker, and Fair Go says you can play 1 to 100 hands at once. It quotes 99.78% RTP (house edge 0.22%) for Aces and Eights and 99.54% RTP (house edge 0.46%) for full-pay Jacks or Better, both as its own figures. Keno and Treasure Tree scratch cards (three chances to win per card) round it off. There are no live dealer games.
Some house-edge maths is standard: a single-zero European roulette wheel has a house edge of 2.70%, and a double-zero American wheel 5.26%. If you play roulette, the European table is the better bet mathematically. Fair Go's exact rules and pay tables should be checked in each game before you play.
Pokies online NZ: how to pick a real money pokie
- Set the budget first, then pick a stake that gives you a decent number of spins from it.
- Match volatility to that budget. A small bankroll and a high-volatility game is a short night more often than not.
- Read the paytable for the features and lines, since Fair Go doesn't publish full specs for every title.
- Check the bonus rules if you're playing through a bonus, including any games that don't count towards wagering.
- Decide your stop point, win or lose, before the first spin.
Choosing where to play matters as much as choosing the pokie. Run any site through our real money online casino NZ checks before you deposit.

Online pokies NZ: questions about Fair Go's lobby
How many pokies does Fair Go have?
Fair Go claims 280+ pokies. That's its own figure, checked 8 October 2026; we haven't counted the lobby, and new titles are added regularly.
What is the RTP of Fair Go pokies?
Fair Go publishes an average pokie RTP of roughly 97%, which is its own claim. It doesn't publish a return to player for individual titles, so any single-game RTP you see quoted elsewhere didn't come from Fair Go.
Which Fair Go pokies come with free spins right now?
When we checked on 9 October 2026: Kev's Bush Bonanza (BUSHMAGIC), Crimson Castle (CASTLE), Horseman's Prize (GOTM1026), the Fun Monday games (FUNMON) and Bubble Bubble 2 for new players (BUBBLE15). Codes change, so check the cashier.
Does Fair Go have progressive jackpot pokies?
Yes, according to the specs Fair Go publishes. Cash Bandits 3, Aztec's Millions, Achilles Deluxe and Plentiful Treasure are all listed with progressive jackpots. There's also Lobby Jackpots, an opt-in side jackpot at Opt-in side jackpot at $0.01 per spin.
Who makes the pokies at Fair Go?
Fair Go names Spin Logic as its game provider. You may read claims elsewhere about the studio's history; we couldn't verify them, so we don't repeat them.
What are the best online pokies in NZ at Fair Go?
We don't rank pokies: the best one is the one that suits your budget and how you like to play. Fair Go's published specs are a fairer way to compare. Kev's Bush Bonanza (Fair Go exclusive, 50 paylines, 50,000x top award, medium volatility); Cash Bandits 3 (25 paylines, 115,000-coin top award, progressive jackpot); Devil's Jackpot (wild multipliers up to 20x, high volatility); Dr. Winmore (cluster pays, cascading reels, low volatility). Fair Go doesn't publish a return to player for any single title, so open each game's info screen before you play.
Can I play free pokies in NZ at Fair Go?
Fair Go's pages we checked don't confirm a demo mode, so check in the lobby whether a game offers one. The free option Fair Go lists is code BUBBLE15: 15 no-deposit spins on Bubble Bubble 2, with 60x wagering on winnings. See Fair Go's no deposit spins for NZ players.
